Life Has Been Crazy!

This year has been a fast and eventful one. We had a great year with many blessings. I am no longer working and am attending school full-time at Yavapai College, in the dental hygiene program. Donnie is still attending school and he is doing great, he is also volunteering at Asher's school on Fridays. The kids are all growing so fast but they are healthy and happy and the center of our world. We want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and the greatest of New Years. We love you and thank you for everything that you do for us on a regular basis.
Christmas was great this year, we stayed home and Santa spoiled us. Grammie and Grampie came from California to spend some time with the kids. Eden has 450 pictures that she took on her new camera that her Grammie gave her to prove it.

My baby turned 1 years old this year. I can't believe that he is so big and getting bigger everyday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to my big boy.

Eden played soccer this fall and she was good at it. There were only 3 kids that consistently showed up which is good since they only played three kids at a time. She was a bully on the field to say the least.

Asher played soccer this fall and well lets just say it was a challenge but his dad got to be his coach which I think Donnie enjoyed it more than he did. It was a challenge to say the least but we are hoping that it is a better experience next year.

Because Asher started school this year we wanted Eden to have something all her own so we put her in gymnastics. She loves it and she is really good at it. She had her first meet in October and the judge said that she is as strong as an ox. We hope to see her go far because she is a natural.

Asher started his first day of school in August. He started at a public school and then two weeks into school we moved him to a charter school where he is doing remarkably well. We knew that he had a few issues but we have found out that he has severe ADHD, and he is a little OCD which doesn't help. We really like his new school and Donnie is able to volunteer there every Friday which is good for Asher. I tried not to cry but I couldn't help it.

This year we went to California for Christmas right
after Zeb was born. We were there for 2 1/2 weeks
and we did a lot of different things for the kids.
We of course had all of the kids picture taken with
their new Christmas outfits on that they got from
Grammie and Grampie. They got to sit on Santa's
lap a few times I am sure that he had what they wanted
memorized by then. We had a great time!

Can Life Really Be This Busy?

In Asher's primary class they made Stripling Warrior vests.

After class his Grampa John brought him to us and he was so

excited to tell us that he was a "Stripping Warrior."

Asher went Potty in the middle of the night and this is how

his dad found him. When I asked him why he didn't go back

to bed he said, "My legs were so tired I could not make it

back to my bed."

This is Asher and Eden "being like Daddy" I couldn't convince

Asher that he had the helmet on wrong.

Those Little Moments

I am very proud to say that Eden Is following in her
mommy's footsteps. As for her choice of equipment
well... that is her following in her daddy's footsteps. We had such a great night last night as Donnie and I put
together Asher and Eden's new big boy and big girl beds.

We put the more cautious one on the top bunk now all

that we are afraid of is him pushing his sister off.

Eden was so excited but it made me so sad to see that

my babies are growing up so fast!

It is little things like this that make me realize

just how much my little ones are like their daddy.
It is just like a Hewes to use their head in anyway

they can to get their point across.

MILESTONES

We have had some major milestones in our house lately.... The first, as you can see, Rachel has started to crawl!
And we have had to start putting things up higher.

The second, Donnie started school yesterday!!!!

He was so nervous, I guess that is how it is when you

haven't been to school for 10 years.

We are so proud of him! GOOD LUCK DADDY!!!

I went to the doctor today and found out that the fourth little addition to our family is going to be a little Boy! The doctor said that everything looked great, all is developing right and everything is there. Eden was so excited to see pictures of her "brother baby." We are just glad that everything is looking good for him to come the 20th of December.

Eight years ago, I never thought that the red neck I met, while moving into a new area, on my mission would change my life forever.

Five years ago I married the love of my life in the Boston Temple. I was, as many others, surprised that we even lasted through our first year. Now Five years and 3 1/2 children later we are more in love with each other than we ever could have imagined.My husband is the most thoughtful, generous, loving, honest, hard working, kind, and special person that could have ever blessed my life. He is a wonderful father and man, I look forward to forever with him. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DONNIE!

I am not sure what the world is coming too. We go to California for a few days and all you know what breaks loose. Grampie is feeding her ice cream and her dad is letting her drive.

Asher spent almost three weeks in California with his Grammie and Grampie Hewes. One week he spent camping at the beach so his Grammie took these pictures. They said as soon as he saw the water he ran right for it and as soon as he actually touched it he turned around and came right back. Then it took some persuasion from his new "girlfriends" to get back in.

In the middle of April Donnie was layed off but don't worry it really was a blessing in disguise. We moved north to Chino Valley into an apartment, it is not so bad and it is quite large. I went back to work in a salon which has been an adjustment since I have been a stay at home mom for the last four years. Donnie, is now the stay at home dad until he starts school in the fall at Yavapai College. He is going to study Computer Science and we will then split the children responsibility. We are the happiest we have been for along time and Donnie is really excited about starting school since this is his first time college experience.

The kids all dressed up to go to church on Easter Sunday. Have you ever seen such a Handsome bunch!

Easter morning the kids woke up and found that the Easter Bunny had come to leave them little gifts all over the house. So with their easter baskets in hand they went on a hunt.

The Easter Bunny must think like Mommy. He knows that Eden is anything but one of those little girls that likes to dress up. But she did humor Mommy and Grampie and wore what came in her Tinkerbell Easter basket enev if it was for just a minute.

I Know that Rachel doesn't really get what the whole Easter thing is about but we couldn't let her be left out could we?

Asher was so excited when he saw his Easter basket. He got three new sports balls he was even excited about the pump.

I'm not sure if Dillon was quite awake enough to figure out what was going on.

Is that excitement on her face? Well she does love Tinkerbell.

Age Three and Four are exciting times in children's lives. Cousin Dillon, Auntie Carol-Ann, and Uncle Will came for a few days to spend birthday time with the kids. Of course it would not be complete until Grammie and Grampie came to make sure they had birthday cupcakes.

Isn't life funny how one minute you can be best friends and then each other's worst enemy the next?

For Asher and Eden's birthday Grammie and Grampie took all the kids for some Bounce U fun. A little place we stumbled upon that is full of big bounce activites.

One of the bounce houses had these big gloves. Of course they were as big as Asher was tall but I think that is what Asher liked about them most.

Dillion is such a ham! Every time you took the camera out to take a picture of him he would get as close as he possibly could and say CHEEEESE!

Three years ago, to the day, at 12 noon the world changed forever. The greatest terror known to man arrived in the form of a little girl at 7lbs 2oz.

At the time we didn't even know. Her terrorism Manifested with walking and talking, and has only become more elevated. She does have her moments. There is one thing that she says that I crack up at every time. When she puts her panties on sometime she pulls them up to high and gives herself a weggie. The comment that immediately follows is "My bum is checkin'out!". I cannot contain my laughter when she says that. When you look at this picture remember that looks are deceptive, and I could not love her more. Happy Birthday Eden, Love mommy and Daddy.

I can't believe that my baby boy is 4 years old today, boy how time flies. It seems only like yesterday the doctor was handing him to us with that big head and that long skinny body. This morning Donnie and I were making breakfast and Asher came into join us. This is how the coversation went. "Mommy I'm cranky" I turned to look at him and said. "Why are you cranky?"

"Because my legs are too big" "Why are your legs too big?" "Because I'm 4 now" He is such a crack up!

Look at him now he is a big handsome boy with a big heart and a big personality.

Daddy's Little Girl

Rachel is now smiling! I took both of these pictures yesterday. The first one I tried for ten minutes or so to try to get her to smile. I made all of the faces and sounds and finally a smile, but I think that she either felt sorry for me or she just wanted me to stop and go away. The other picture all her had to do was talk to her and within seconds there it was as big as can be. It just goes to show, that just like her sister, she is defenately Daddy's Little Girl!

Rachel was blessed this weekend so we had a house full. My dad gave her her name and blessing, he did a beautiful job. It will be something special that Rachel will always have to remember.

I think that the weekend wore them both out.

Amie came from Japan for work and she was able to come to Arizona for Rachel's blessing. It always takes a minute for the kids to recognize her but after that it is like she is here all of the time. It is always so trying to get a good picture with 4 kids under the age of 4.

My dad has been such a good father, I think that is an under statement. He is just as wonderful as a grandfather. He is not as mobile as he once was but he lets the kids climb all over him. These kids sure do love him even if he can't chase them around.

This looks like trouble to me.

I think that they like the fact that their family is getting bigger all of the time. They can hold, play and spoil, but then they can send them home to their parents when they are done.

Dillon loves babies and he loves to hold them, he was such a good little helper even though he couldn't move hardly at all with his body cast. POOR BABY!

Grampy loves all of his grandchildren but I think that he has a little bit of a soft spot for the little women in his life.

What can I say I turn my back for one minute and what was meant to help turns into a disaster. I did get the comb out and didn't have to use my scissors.
