You are not 4 already are you?

Four years ago we didn't think
that our life could get anymore
exciting until....
This beautiful daughter was
given to us. I thought that I
had got a pretty little girl to
dress up all girlie.....
We could not be more WRONG!
Our lives were never the same
it is more and more of an
adventure everyday.....
We never know what is to come next.


We have loved every minute of it!!!

I can't believe he is 5!!

Five years ago our lives changed forever
never to be the same again.
One of the most precious spirits
was born into our family.
His birth was quite an experience
and it has not slowed down since

He just turned 5 today and I can't
believe it, time has gone by so fast.

Asher and Eden's Birthday Party

Asher and Eden's Birthday cake
This is probably the last year we will get
away with having their party together.
Mommy and Daddy got them a scooter
Asher, Rachel, and Zeb gave her a
helmet and pads.
Eden, Rachel, and Zeb gave him
a helmet and pads too a coincidence,
probably not.
Grammie and Grammpie gave them
a DVD and a new dresser.
Grandpa John gave them a dart gun
and darts.
Ashlee Rick and Brody gave them
a hopper I think it was for old times sake...
and their favorite, Fruit Snacks!
Amber gave them a soccer ball,

Rachel Marie Hewes came to us on the 30th day of January 2009. She made her arrival at 6:16 am. She wieghed 6 pounds 13 onces, and was 19 1/2 inches long.

Asher LOVES being a big brother (to Rachel). He loves to help out, holding, feeding, kissing, and even changing diapers.

And then there was Eden... I think she is a little jealous about not being the baby anymore. Eden likes to help out too, poking in the eye, hitting on the head, and shaking her sister. Plus I think that she just doesn't grasp the concept of gentle.

Long night

Being a dad has taught me more than any other experience that I have had, and I have had a few. The joy that is felt when you feel instant love. When a child is born you love them so quick you think "is it even possible to love so much so fast".

How could this not be worth it?

It was a very long night and the longest birth of all three of my children, but the result was a beautiful baby girl sent to us from our Heavenly Father. I didn't think that I could love anyone else but when I first saw this little girl I knew that I loved her and that the Lord loved me for trusting me with her.

Asher had a big day on Sunday at church. He had his first day as a Sunbeam. It was also the first time that we have ever had a hard time getting him to go to Primary. Finally what got him to go was that his dad told him that they get to sing alot more songs in the big primary than in nursery. He is defenately his mother's son.

Eden also had a big day at church on Sunday, she is now in Senior nusery. Granted she spent most of the time in class with her mom. I think that the change in teachers was hard on her but who knows what runs through that little girl's head. She is defenately her father's daughter!

Trip to California

For Christmas this year our family went to California for ten days.
